Bali pest control guides

Straight answers to the pest questions we hear most from villa owners, managers and restaurants in Bali.

  • Does mosquito fogging work in Bali?

Yes, but only for a short time. Fogging kills the adult mosquitoes that are flying when it is applied. It does not remove breeding sites or kill larvae, so mosquitoes come back unless you also deal with standing water.

  • Signs of termites in a Bali villa (and what to do)

The most common signs are mud tubes on walls or foundations, timber that sounds hollow when tapped, small piles of discarded wings near windows after rain, and doors or windows that start to stick. If you see any of these, get an inspection before the damage spreads.

  • How to get rid of rats in a Bali villa

Find and seal how rats get in, remove food and nesting spots, then use bait stations or traps along their routes. Poison alone, without sealing the gaps, leads to rats coming back.

  • What to do if you find a snake in your Bali house

Keep a safe distance, move people and pets away, watch where the snake goes and call a trained snake handler. Do not try to catch, kill or poke it. If anyone is bitten, go to a hospital immediately.
